01 Bürgeramt
If you are interested in a driving license from Germany you would need to see the Bürgeramt and apply as such.
When registering, you must decide whether you want to complete the training with an automatic or a manual transmission. We recommend automatic transmission with key number B197. (practical training with both types and practical exam with an automatic car)
You need to present also a 1st Aid certificate, eye test, passphoto, ID.
You can register with us anytime therefore it is not mandatory to have the confirmation from the Bürgeramt beforehand.
02 theory
When you enrol at Asphalt-Profis Driving School, you will receive a learning app including e-book. At the same time, you will be required to attend in person. The amount of lessons depends on which license you would like to get.
You can choose to take the theory course in English or German. Please contact our office for exact dates.
Once you have received your admission from the driving licence authority, have completed the prescribed theory lessons and have worked through at least 90% of the learning application, you can go to the test centre to take the theory test.
Completing theory exam is pre requisite to be considered for the practical examination.
03 practice
You can easily book your practical driving lessons using our online booking system.
Driving sessions are available Monday to Fridays. You will be allocated to a driving instructor who you can chat about other options.
We recommend our simulator for beginners as you can learn to steer and using gear box at your own pace.
On the road you will start in a quiet residential area and depending on your personal progress you will work your way through the city traffic step by step.
We are proud to offer you BMW's as modern driving school vehicles with numerous assistance systems, such as Park Distance Control or rear view cameras.
04 mandatory lessons
As part of your driving licence training, you must complete mandatory driving lessons.
Please see as follows what exactly is required:
225 min. country roads
180 min. highway
135 min. driving in darkness
This training phase takes place at the end of your practical training, when you have already mastered your vehicle safely. Your driving instructor will guide you when it's time for you to complete this part of the training.
05 pre test lessons
In the last driving lessons before your practical exam we will prepare you specifically for it.
Our aim is it for you to pass this important test at the first attempt!
Only when you and the driving instructor are sure that you are ready for the exam will you be considered by our office for the practical exam.
Please know that we prepare you with the German vocabulary and also we support you with an overview of skills required for practical exam.
06 practical exam
Your driving instructor will accompany you to the practical test with your usual training vehicle. Before that you have at least 40 minutes warm up drive.
We assist you with German vocabulary and "skills set" required to pass successfully.
If you have passed your exam successfully, you will receive a temporary driving license from the examiner.
It is valid for three months and for Germany only. Your driving licence card will be sent to you by post within a few weeks by the driving licence authority.
